Ingrid needed help with a late morning errand today, so I played hooky from work for a couple hours. On our way home Ingrid “forced me” to stopped at Butler Head Preserve in Bath to see what was around.
We were thrilled to see three beautiful Mute Swans browsing in the marsh grass. While they’re an invasive species and in some places considered a pest . . . they are very rare in Maine and a thrilling sight.
