For the first time in about three weeks it got above freezing . . . so I rushed to nearby Reid State Park for a little birding without worrying about frost bite. Poor Ingrid was left teaching 4th grade (please don’t tell her I went birding).
Sea birds are generally pretty far out . . . so my photos aren’t very clear . . . but got a nice cross section of winter birds. I especially like the White-winged Scoter’s tongue (above).
