We travel all over the country to see birds, but sometimes there is no place like home. Yesterday evening near sunset we were treated to a confluence of birds that descended on a mudflat at the end of our street.
Yellowlegs, both Greater and Lesser, Snowy Egrets, Terns, Ducks and a Great Blue Heron all congregated together in a small area. The spot has fast moving traffic and drivers were puzzled to see us snapping photos just feet from their vehicles.
Sometime birding is all about being at the right place at the right time.
