Ingrid and I have been neglecting the BigYearBirding.com website for the last week . . . we’ve been out birding but work issues have cut into our posting time. This whole food and shelter thing can be a drag.
The shorebird migration is in full gear, with peeps scurrying about on mud flats and shorelines.
On Saturday after the Beach to Beacon Road Race, Ingrid and I stopped by the Pelecro Building and ran in to Doug Hitchcox, one of the best birders in Maine. Doug helped us distinguish between the Semipalmated and White-Rumped Sandpipers. The White-Rumped being lifers for us.
