Cattle Egret

Cattle Egrets

Ten days ago, when riding the train from the Tampa Airport to the rental car terminal, I spotted two Cattle Egrets in a field.  The glimpse was too short to get my camera out of my carry-on . . . and thus disappointing . . . I try to get photos of most of my sightings.

Today I saw three Cattle Egrets in Maine, just three miles away from away from our Condominium . . . a pretty rare sighting in Maine.  And this time I got a photo.

Next stop was Scarborough Beach where dozens of Sanderlings and Dunlins were weaving in and out of beachcombers.

Kinglets and Yellow-rumps continue to be prevalent on every birding excursion.
